Meet Patchymate, the Philadelphia based artist and producer with a distinct pop rock flair, ingeniously blended with hints of electronic elements. Patchymate’s vocals carry a rawness and angst that scream authenticity. Patchymate’s production perfectly teeters the line between clean and gritty, and is always beautifully complex. Last year my brother showed me Patchymate’s track “I just wanna clear something up” and I was instantly hooked by the catchy and unique sound. It was like I heard pop music for the first time in my life. “SMS” is another track I love that samples the Discord call sound. I think Patchymate is criminally overlooked and deserves nothing but success because we need more music like this.
